Dr. Herb Sigmond represented Medicine International (MI) bringing much needed medicines and surgical equipment to Lhasa, Tibet for the Tibetan Child Nutritional Health Project. While there, he consulted daily with Tibetan physicians from the government hospital on difficult cases. Medicine International collaboratively worked with One World, a Spanish nonprofit group working with orphan Tibetan children. Dr. Sigmond served as their clinic physician for 120 orphans.
